When our homeowners purchased their house nearly 28 years ago, their parents famously called it a “money pit.” What they saw instead was a home brimming with potential.
After decades of carefully updating the house room by room, the moment arrived to reimagine the main level, correcting poorly planned additions from previous owners while preserving the home’s century-old craftsmanship. The goal wasn’t to reinvent the house, but to modernize it thoughtfully, making the spaces function for today’s lifestyle.
Our team redesigned the main level with practical upgrades that elevate everyday living: a mudroom with improved storage, a bar designed for hosting, an updated powder room, and a kitchen that finally works for homeowners who love to cook.
The result is a thoughtful transformation filled with details you’ll want to see in person: soapstone and quartzite countertops, tailored cabinetry with interior lighting, a ventilated root vegetable cabinet, and shelving inspired by the homeowner’s love of plants. Even hidden challenges, structural issues from previous additions, were corrected, restoring the home’s integrity from the ground up.
