Minikahda Gothic
West Bde Maka Ska, Minneapolis
After completing four previous remodels together, these homeowners returned to us with a new dream: to build a custom home. They had discovered a rare lot in West Bde Maka Ska—once part of a double parcel that included an unused pickleball court. When the land was divided, the former court became the location for what is now their home.
Perched on the hill, the home captures sweeping views of the Minikhada Club and the Bde Maka Ska lakes. This location had been a vision for the homeowners for years, and this lot offered the perfect opportunity to bring that vision to life.
The exterior draws inspiration from The House of the Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts, embracing a classic silhouette with steep gables and enduring architectural presence. Inside, that sense of history continues through thoughtfully curated details: graceful archways, hand‑stamped artisanal wallpaper crafted to be historically accurate, and traditional architectural elements throughout. Every selection evokes the feeling of a home that has always belonged.
This project is a celebration of craftsmanship and relationships, a storied home designed to stand beautifully for generations.
