Tangletown Untangled

This 1918 Minneapolis home suffered from multiple remodels that didn’t honor the home’s character. The choppy layout lacked function. With Quartersawn’s solution, the layout was altered and walls were moved to create useful, thoughtful spaces. The mudroom, which had been open to a rarely used family room, was closed off. A powder room was moved to make it larger. A wall was removed between the kitchen and dining room to create a large but intimate great room, with a natural flow from the front to the back of the house. With high-end finishes, this home is as gorgeous as it is functional.
