Restoring Homes with Hearts & Hammers

In a world that can often feel like a whirlwind of challenges, there are beacons of hope that remind us of humanity’s compassion and resilience. Hearts & Hammers is one such radiant beacon, dedicated to assisting senior citizens, disabled individuals, and veterans struggling with deteriorating homes. Often these homeowners face the reality of losing the place they love. Through volunteer efforts Hearts & Hammers provide free restorations to keep that from happening.

Quartersawn Partnership with Hearts & Hammers

Quartersawn is proud to partner with Hearts & Hammers for the fourth consecutive year. This year we restored the home and garage of a Saint Paul native, who faced early retirement and loss of income due to his disability.

Quartersawn rallied an incredible team of over 12 volunteers, including staff and trade partners, who lent their time and expertise to the cause. It was a testament to the power of community and the willingness of individuals to come together for a greater purpose. What made this year’s project even more special was the weather, which seemed to have been tailor-made for the occasion.

The impact of this transformation was a joy to witness. As the final brushstrokes were made and the last cedar shake was replaced, the homeowner stood in awe of the renewed beauty and functionality of their residence.

“We are so honored to have such great partners like Quartersawn as without our volunteers our mission would not be achievable. Thank you so much for the continued support.” – Randi Prebil, Executive Director of Hearts & Hammers.

The partnership between Hearts & Hammers and Quartersawn is just one example of the incredible things that can occur when a shared vision comes together. We are honored to have found Hearts & Hammers and are excited to continue to support this wonderful organization.
